Hampshire. With an academic and athletic scholarship she headed off to college in North Carolina to study and play soccer. After two completed soccer seasons, she returned to Boston to finish her degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources at Northeastern University.
While enrolled at Northeastern, she joined SHRM, the Society of Human Resource Management and quickly became head of the local chapter. As part of her responsibilities she spoke at events and coordinated resume and interviewing workshops for students at Northeastern and other local colleges.
Northeastern University has a unique curriculum which requires students to work in their area of study. Kris was fortunate to land a position working for the top high tech PR Firm in the East where she solidified her desire to work in the HR field. After Severeal years of employment and finishing her degree, she became the Human Resources Manager at a vocational rehabilitation facility where she worked until 2004 when she moved out of Boston.
In 2004 the idea of sun and fun sounded too good to pass up, so Kris moved to Arizona! Since arriving in Arizona she has been the Human Resources Manager at Phillips and Lyon. The HR role at Phillips and Lyon is to be an advocate for employees. This includes providing training, performance reviews, support, learning opportunities and her favorite, some fun! Additionally, HR supports Phillips and Lyon's staffing needs with a framework of policies, standards and the necessary resources to accomplish them.
